Tell us about yourself:
My name is Matt Marcheschi and I have been serving as a FOCUS Missionary since 2004. My life was radically changed after an encounter I had with Jesus that has set me on an incredible adventure. Growing up, though I was raised Catholic, I did not know that I was made for relationship with God. My faith journey has been an ongoing series of deepening encounters with the person of Jesus Christ.

As a missionary, I desire to lead all men and women to know they were made for relationship with Jesus Christ. I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus’ own example to find the best method of reaching the world one soul at a time.

I now live in Buffalo Grove, with my wife, Christi, and our four children, Gianna, Gemma, Natalie, and Andrew.

Why are you passionate about serving at St. James?
I love serving at St. James because it is such a great community where people have a deep desire to know Jesus and to make Him known in the world.
