Tell us about yourself:
My name is Tamaron Conseur and I’m blessed to serve as the Director of Music and Liturgy at St. James. I converted to Catholicism in 2008 after being introduced to the faith by my incredible wife, Natalie. I was blessed to have an encounter with the true presence of Christ through the Blessed Sacrament and have found God’s calling for me through serving His Church and through being a Husband and Father. Growing up in San Diego, California, as the son of artistic parents, I was immersed in the arts at an early age. I went on to study music at San Diego State University and later earned my Master’s in Music from Northwestern University. Since 2004 I have held various roles as a Music Minister, in churches of several different denominations. This experience helps me direct and perform music of various styles at St. James. Also I have worked with numerous professional organizations including: San Diego Opera, Chicago Opera Theater, Chicago Lyric Opera, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. I live in Buffalo Grove with my wife and our four children: Julian, Claire, Daniel, and Michael. I love spending time with my family, cooking, and playing basketball.
